“Having Triformations and Kara guide me along my triathlon journey has been a tremendous help. I know that I would not have the same success training on my own.”

Sporting Background Prior To Joining The Tribe: Played high school sports - basketball, softball, track, cheerleading. Started running in 2013 and completed several half marathons before taking a break and picking it back up in 2020.

Initial Goals and Events When I Started With Triformations: Learn how to properly train for a sprint triathlon so I could finish strong and not just crawl across the finish line!

Did You Achieve These Goals and/or What Were the Outcomes?: Yes! Every step of the training plan has helped me to recognize weaknesses, progressively build up strength and endurance, and maintain proper form. It has helped me remain injury free during my training and given me the confidence to know that I am truly prepared for the race ahead.

How Did Triformations Help You To Achieve These Goals?: The weekly training guide was easy to follow and kept me on track. The weekly check in calls were also a great opportunity to ask questions and interact with the coach and other members in a more personal manner. The accountability of the group is so helpful in staying motivated and pushing through barriers.

What Are Your Top 3 Goals and Events As You Move Forward?: 1) I want to go on to complete a half Ironman race, 2) I want to complete a full marathon, 3) I want to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle so that my children also develop a love for sports and physical fitness.

3 of Your Greatest Achievements So Far While Working With Triformations?: 1) Open water swimming - I faced my fears and have been able to actually enjoy OWS!, 2) I’ve never been comfortable riding a bike but I have finally gained enough confidence to get off the indoor trainer and out onto the real road, 3) Learning to prioritize family/work/training.

When and Why Did You Get Involved With Triathlon?: I like to know that I am capable of doing hard things if I want to do committing to a triathlon seemed like a perfect goal.

What Do You Love Most About Triathlon?: I love the transition from one sport to another and knowing that I am strong it so many different ways. The triathlon community is amazing as well and I love the relationships I’ve built through triathlon.

Favourite Thing To Do Outside Triathlon? Do You Have A Hidden Talent?: Spending time with my kids is the absolute best! Swimming is always a favorite and we have recently taken up kayaking.

Personal Mantra: Finish strong.
