“I am glad that I found Triformations and got to know Coach Kara. It has opened up a door to pursue completing a Triathlon. A door that I was unsure about opening.”

Sporting Background Prior To Joining The Tribe: I am a bouldering/rock climbing enthusiast, I love running and completed the Spartan Trifecta last year. I have also completed numerous marathons and half marathons. I enjoy lifting weights and gaining strength.

Initial Goals and Events When I Started With Triformations: My main goal was to get comfortable riding a road bike over long distances. I also wanted to learn how to build endurance for competing in triathlons.

Did You Achieve These Goals and/or What Were the Outcomes?: I am now comfortable riding a road bike for long distances. I have also built a foundation for my endurance and know some additional tips and methods to enhance my endurance. I did also gain a good deal of self-confidence that I could handle anything that the training program dealt me.

How Did Triformations Help You To Achieve These Goals?: The outstanding curriculum and support from the coach helped me to understand techniques that would benefit me and my training. Our coach was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to understand her team. She knew exactly how to motivate and push you just past your comfort zone.

What Are Your Top 3 Goals and Events As You Move Forward?: My ultimate goal is to someday complete an Ironman. Before that point, my goals are to finish any kind of Triathlon and improve my general fitness. I just need to use baby steps to make sure my ultimate goal is achievable.

3 of Your Greatest Achievements So Far While Working With Triformations?: I have improved my road biking skills and am now comfortable on long rides. I have improved my strength and overall fitness, and have noticed an increase in my energy level. I have also achieved a higher level of self-confidence that has spread into my daily life.

Most Embarrassing Triathlon Moment? (We All Have Them!): After I got off my bike, I tried to take off running and suddenly realized my legs were like jello. I almost fell to the ground, and even though no one was around, I couldn't help but laugh at myself.

When and Why Did You Get Involved With Triathlon?: Triathlons always interested me. I have enjoyed all aspects of them separately. But, I wanted to try them all together. When I saw Triformation, I saw my opportunity to improve my skills and motivate myself to get off the couch and go for it, rather than saying "one day."

What Do You Love Most About Triathlon?: It provides me a great challenge, both mentally and physically. This training has enabled me to see a different side of myself, which is usually invisible to me.

Favourite Thing To Do Outside Triathlon? Do You Have A Hidden Talent?: My favorite thing to do outside of Triathlon is to be in a climbing gym. Unfortunately, I don't know of any hidden talents.

Personal Mantra: "You can do this, just keep moving and do it."
